HBAA Team Trail Series for 2025
HAYS, KS (Feb. 21, 2025) — Hays Bass Anglers Association has set the dates for their 2025 Team Trail Series. The series will consist of six tournaments on two reservoirs in west-central Kansas. HBAA Team Trail #1 and #2 will be held on March 29-30, 2025 at Cedar Bluff Reservoir. Team Trail #3 and #4 will be held on May 3-4, 2025 at Lake Wilson. Trail #5 and #6 will be held on June 21-22 at Cedar Bluff Reservoir. This is the fifth year that Hays Bass Anglers Association has offered the team trail series. Anglers may fish all six events and may choose their top four events for scoring. Details of the events can be found on this site as well as entry forms that can be downloaded here. Blackwoods win 2022 Team Trail Series
LAKE WILSON, KS (June 18, 2022) — Drew and Terry Blackwood, Concordia, take top honors as they win the Hays Bass Anglers Association’s Team Trail following Saturday’s final event on June, 18, 2022, at Lake Wilson. The event was the final tournament of four events in the Team Trail. This is the first year that Hays Bass Anglers Association has offered the team trail. The HBAA Team Trail featured four events on two Western Kansas reservoirs. The first event was held at Lake Wilson on Saturday, April 2, 2022. The second and third events launched on consecutive days: Saturday, May 21, 2022; and again on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Cedar Bluff Reservoir. The final event was held at Lake Wilson on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Father-son team win first HBAA Team Trail event
LAKE WILSON, KS (April 2, 2022) — The early morning bite paid off for the father-son team of Drew and Terry Blackwood, Concordia, during the first event of the Hays Bass Anglers Association’s Team Trail. The first team tournament of four in a series kicked off at Lake Wilson on Saturday. “The fishing was awesome and we had a great time,” Drew Blackwood said after he and his father won the event. The two made the tough bite pay off throwing a jerk bait and boating a mixed bag of smallmouth and largemouth bass. Their five-fish limit tipped the scales at 22.77 pounds. The Hays Bass Anglers Association will offer anglers an opportunity to fish its first ever team trail event series this year featuring four events on two Western Kansas reservoirs. The HBAA Team Trail is a new series that will replace the club’s popular spring open events that have been held over the last two years. The first event on the 2022 team trail will be held at Lake Wilson on Saturday, April 2, 2022. The second and third events will launch on consecutive days: Saturday, May 21, 2022; and again on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Cedar Bluff Reservoir. The final event will take place at Lake Wilson on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Entry forms are available to download here.
